Breast cancer claims a lot of lives, but medical errors claim even more. Preventable medical errors kill approximately 100,000 Americans each year. Americans today have only a 50/50 chance of getting the right health care at the right time. That's unacceptable.

Debra Ness, President of the National Partnership for Women & Families, says medical errors and poor quality care take an enormous toll on our health and our lives.

WHEN YOU BUY A TV, A CAR, OR EVEN A TOASTER OVEN, YOU CAN RESEARCH YOUR OPTIONS. BUT HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A DOCTOR OR HOSPITAL? YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR DOCTOR, HOSPITAL, OR NURSING HOME AND THE VALUE YOU'RE GETTING FOR YOUR HEALTH CARE DOLLARS. YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT.
